An old crypt in the middle of an old graveyard. Many people are buried here in this underground graveyard, the city gave up on maintenance some years ago and the crypt was closed for public. At the beginning, the coffins placed into the underground vault were made of cheap wood. These coffins quickly broke up and liquefied.
One can imagine the horrifying stench reigning in the galleries. The City then required coffins to be made of zinc for the crypt to make them more resistant to corrosion. The gravestone inscriptions date from 1885 to 1978. Nowadays the crypte got restorated and a lot of the things u see here in the pictures got removed.
