The cinema Variétés was built in 1937. It was the first cinema in the world that was entirely lit by neon. And with an ingenious system the roof could be lifted in checkerboard pattern. In 1961 it became the Cinerama, with panoramic films that were projected from three angles. The façade, the hall carcass and roof were protected in 2003, some effort has been done to get the building in a better state but it has still not being sold.
