This swimming pool was built in 1915 that’s right, 1915 when WW1 was going on. It was to keep the workers out of German Factories that they started building this pool.Built in renaissance style designed by August of Haese Donck (1863-1935). The swimming pool used to have a glass roof but was removed several years ago and changed in a normal roof. Besides that the swimming pool has some stunning details the rescuer statue made in 1919 and the many wood sculpture works. The name “la crachoir piscine” comes from the small spit holes in the pool to mix the cloride with the water.
