Again an old location from 2008, I took this pictures when I was just starting this hobby with a sony A200 so the quality is not optimal. This casino in Mol-Gompel was in the early 20’s connected with the glasfactory Glaverbel. The property was built in the Biedermeier style. It fitted in perfectly with what the company at the time was. In 1999 the factory became bankrupt and so became an end of the casino too. They tried to demolish the building but local citizens protested to prevent demolishing. Squatters took place inside the building preventing it to be demolished and to make awareness of the building. In 2010 the building got a protection label so the owner was forced to renovate the building or to give it a new destination. But even today (2016) the building is still in a bad state and is still unknown what will happen with it. It’s so bad for such big and beautiful building even King Albert visited the building in 1927.
